Six hours between the first and second semis... Fair? - 13 new
...ball, feet not moving etc. Careless errors are when you have plenty of time
to get in position and miss easy strokes (see Fed dumping routine volleys into
the net). Fed has had careless errors in matches he has been ahead all through
his career, so nothing I saw in the second set of the USO final 2009 surprised
me there...< - Fri, Nov 26 2010 1:53 pm

Roddick at 140/1 to win? ;) - 9 new
...Stop cutting posts in the middle - my point stands as stated. Del P and "
faster balls" means Nadal won't win the FO - LOL... - Fri, Nov 26 2010 2:04 pm

Nadal winning the Sportsmanship award... - 12 new
Well deserved. Rarely do we see a player as gracious in victory as in defeat.
Its very easy to show great sportsmanship when you are winning, but the true
test is after you lose - and in that regard Nadal is peerless in tennis.... -

Some random YEC Trivia - 2 new
...It must happen a lot, because there can be two people a year who are 3-0 in
RR. Like this year both Federer and Nadal. At least one of them will not win.
It can even happen that there are two players this year who are 3-0 in RR and
not win. - Fri, Nov 26 2010 2:11 pm

Nadal goes wild after UMPIRE denies him legit replay of point!! - 1 new
...IIRC, Federer was more "on the nerves", younger... :-) Even if Fed (or any
other player) had smashed few rackets over the years, I won't consider this a
bad sportmanship. Unless it goes into a circus on its own à la MacEnroe, there
is no problem with shouting at yourself, or even breaking a racket once - Fri,

Why do I feel Djok and/or Murray will spoil our dream final? - 17 new
Murray is due to play a good match and Djok can play well and put less efforts
so far. - Fri, Nov 26 2010 2:47 pm

Helsinki Challenger Friday comments (includes Adrian Mannarino scouting report)
- 4 new
...<snip> Did you see Micke's second match? He lost 3-6 3-6 or so, but I think
he had a credible performance here. He has been barely playing at Futures
level, and already beat a Challenger player (though a weak one). Not bad. His
progression seems roughly similar than his brother... he sounds
like Murray-like player (or like Murray used to play - Fri, Nov 26 2010 2:45

"Does the winner of the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award know the tennis
rules?" - 3 new
...Sorry, not. Nadal was wrong all along. Wrong about the ball (wich is highly
understandable, given the tiny part of it that actually touched the line). But
the worse was to come: once the hawk-eye delivered its judgement, Nadal should
have offer apologies to Berdych (and possibly umpire, had their chat no gone
mad) for his mistake. Just like after some lucky - Fri, Nov 26 2010 3:05 pm

Why does the world #1 need this? - 1 new
""If you talk to the specialists of tennis, everybody can say the conditions
are a little bit easier for Andy than for me here," the nine-times Grand Slam
champion said." He won AO, he won USO while Andy won nothing alike. And keeps
saying such a bullshit again and again. Unbelievable. [link] - Fri, Nov 26

Role model Rafa "They told me to serve wide and that's where I served" Nadal
should know better than to abuse umpires~~ - 1 new
...I would wish his uncle tells him "hurry up when you serve" and he follows.
That would make tennis much faster, more interesting. But that, I guess, will
remain a dream ... - Fri, Nov 26 2010 6:58 pm

cite of the old men's Philadelphia indoor tournament being demo... - 1 new
...When I came back from Nam in 1970 was when I got really involved in playing
tennis. Living in Princeton, the WCT Philly event was my "home" pro tournament
from '71 until moving to DC in '83. I was a volunteer worker there for about
half of those years, even though it was a bear of a commute due to the weather
in January/February. I - Fri, Nov 26 2010 8:24 pm
