Great Lakes, Chennai admissions 2010 - XAT scores also accepted; will also conduct own test
Great Lakes Institute of Management, (Great Lakes), Chennai has also come up with alternatives to accepting the CAT scores for their admission process 2010. Apart from accepting GMAT (including 2010) and CAT (2008 and 2009) scores, they will now also accept XAT 2010 scores. Also, they plan to conduct their own admission test in the mid Feb 2010.
Online CAT may be all-year affair
IIMs now plan to make the online CAT a year-long affair. For students who aspire to get into these government-run management schools, the decision will allow them to take the test any number of times on any day.
Students taking CAT re-tests won't have unfair advantage
After technical glitches marred the first edition of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2009 preventing many students from taking the test, students are naturally feeling apprehensive as the dates of re-tests near.
10,000 get CAT call for January 30 and 31
After the technical glitches in the examination-held online for the first time in November-December last year, fresh controversies have resurfaced. Trainers who prepared the candidates for the exam said that students who successfully took the online test, and were happy with their performance, too had been told by the CAT organisers to take retest.
