My "moment" came when we were sitting in section 211 on a Sunday night,
prime time, being taken into the Kotite Zone. The Raiders were humiliating
the Jets, in front of the entire football viewing world. It was surreal.
That was my almost jumped ship moment.

You're right...''99 with VT.....I still remember watching him go down, was
at that game and actually knew someone involved with the team quite well.
We used to go to dinner after the games and that was a very somber evening.

Vance Joseph.

Was torched all night long but Kotite left him in for the entire
game. Raiders put up 45 points or more if I recall. That was the
single worst performance I have ever seen by a DB.

Vance Joseph is now a secondary coach in San Francisco along with ex-
Jet Johnny Lynn.

When the Raiders were on the goal line, which was often, Kotite used what
was a basic "8 up" allignment, right out of high school playbooks of old,
real old. That put the D end Washington in coverage into the flat with
motion his way.....horrendous.....Washington came off the field furious and
Kotite ignored him....that was the single worst job of coaching I ever saw
except for some pop warner type stuff. Not only id Joseph keep getting
burned....and left in...Richie never even changed up the defense....that was
actually a bizarre night...it felt very strange. We were in the mezz behind
the Jets bench...the bench did not look like they even wanted to stay on the
field and it appeared as though a lot of shouting was going on....but Kotite
kept his unmade bed look going and just stood there staring.

The last time I was pumped for a Jet season was when Vinny went down
in the first game. I am not pumped at all for this season because I
believe with the schedule the Jets have and Sanchez being the way he
is, the Jets will take a step backwards. They have a lot of weapons
Holmes, Edwards, Greene and a good defense but, they need a confident
leader and Sanchez isn't that person.

I beat you by a few seconds. The last time for me was the play before
Vinnie went down with the Achilles.

Pumped is too strong for me. But if we don't win it this year, I am not
sure I will ever believe we will. This team is loaded with talent
compared to past Jet teams. And we don't have a Winner, a nose picker, a
sanitary napkin, a cheerleader, or a penguin for a HC.

As I watched Vinny slap the turf, repeatedly, with his open hand, I
knew it wasn't
because of the pain from his injury, it was his reaction to the pain
of a lost season.

Actually, it's not every season. Most intelligent Jets fans, many of which seem to
congregate here, tend to be realistic if not fatalistic about Jets chances, each season...
often infected with symptoms of a rare, but dangerous, psychological disorder - - SOJ
syndrome.
The Jets have a tough old-style Defense, for once, and a head coach who is as big, or
bigger than his job (and/or the Apple)... not to mention a state of the art training
facility, new stadium, & newly reborn activist owner. Our last coach like this, was
Parcells, but this team is more talented in many ways, than his teams. They haven't had
an owner like this, since their Super Bowl. So, all Media BS hype aside, there is a lot
to be excited about, even if this isn't our Super Bowl year.

Dolphins should field a good team this year. There's really no
outstanding teams in the AFC outside of the Colts. Anyone's in it. I
think you're just afraid to be let down.

Once you get past the first 3 days, all cravings are totally gone. I
don't miss it at all. If I accidentally have a soda with sugar now, I have a
stomach ache. You can't believe how addicted we are to starch and sugar. I
don't feel sorry for myself because I can eat all the prime rib, steak,
butter, shrimp, ribs, even whipped cream I want without gaining weight.

Right on, Gray. Put me down for expecting him to be a WHOLE lot
better than what most seem to expect. He's got the arm, is very
mobile and throws very well on the run. That and the fact that he
DOES know the playbook so much better. If he's not better by leaps
and bounds, we'll be drafting a QB next year, at the very least to
scare Sancho out of brain deadness. Rex doesn't sound to me like he's
a really patient guy. We'll move on quickly.

So, the FDA can prosecute an athlete for a doping offense in Europe a
decade ago, but they can't prosecute the egg producers that
intentionally put spoiled product back into new packaging and on store
shelves, nor can they go after producers who knowingly shipped
contaminated products to customers? All they can do is order a recall?
I think you may want to check on that.

Just like any other agency, the FDA has limited resources. Those
resources should be focused on issues where they have the greatest
impact to the population as a whole. IMO, going after cycling dopers
is about #1,000,000 on the list. The only reason they're going after
Lance is because the FDA is where Novitsky landed, and it's all he
really knows how to do. Someone needs to show him what an egg looks
like.

Armstrong is famous and might be a clean kill. Bad-egg egg producers
in Iowa are... not so famous, and a whole lot harder to actually deal
with (they've been getting away with this crap for years, FDA or no,
from what it said in the paper).

Better the appearance of a successful crusade For The CHILDREN than
chasing chickens in Iowa.

Especially when the bad eggs are just pasteurized and put back into
food products anyhow.

personnel (ie. bruyneel) provided doping assistance a judge is going
to see that as team organized doping.

I'm no expert, but wouldn't pacemakers be likely to be more
performance enhancing? Not that I'm implying any impropriety, but
