Thane (Maharashtra), Dec.24 (ANI): Maharashtra Police arrested 22
women, accused of working as escorts in a beer bar in Maharashtra's
Thane District.

Smita Pathak, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Special Squad),
Thane, said six men were arrested along with the escorts.

"In the Ashirwad beer bar, we conducted a raid with the help of a
special squad and arrested 22 girls. We have also arrested four
customers, one waiter and a manager," she said on Thursday.

She also said the raid was conducted after a two-day investigation,
based on tip-offs from informants.

Some of the girls arrested are below 18 years age.

A detailed inquiry has been launched into the matter. (ANI)
