Be careful, as that area can be quite
dangerous for climbers:

Actually, I want to ride up the Kleine Scheidegg, because it's smaller
and that's where there are the telescopes to watch the climbers on the
Eiger North Face.

After watching the racing, I'm slightly revising my opinion of the
chaotic riding style I've seen on Swiss rides -- it appears that the
local terrain encourages it, as seen in the Tour de Suisse chaotic
finishes.
Since I can't climb at all, I'm going to find Urs Freuler's training

Well, if you listened to the commentator, it's because USPS "lost"
billions of dollars last year!
The sharks are circling the USPS and have been doing so for a long
time. A little nip here, a head-butt there from the cowardly sharks,
and once the prey is immobilized, they will go in for the feeding
frenzy. And your mail will follow the trail blazed by the
privatization of the airlines-- poor service backed by rudeness, and
the whole rest of the nine yards.
Of course, if the USPS were allowed to Compete in the Free Market (did
I hear trumpets, or was that angels?), and charge a better price for
bulk mail, for one thing, USPS might all of a sudden magically turn
the show around. But that's part of the attack, "see above". Corporate-
owned-media brainwashing: Post Office Bad! Post Office Bad! (etc.
etc.).

"On the team" to include owners/managers, everyone on down to the poor
schleps who wash the bikes. Institutionalized doping in a sport, like
all other sports, that has had doping since before they started.
Sanity check (ironic in this context, no? Brian?) concludes.
Thanks, I do feel a little better.

Yeah, agree, but plenty of Madoff's investors were left holding the
bag, too. Hard to see who got filtched here. Even as a fan I got what
I wanted to see, a fully dope-fueled battle royale between the finest
pharmaceutical companies in the world.

LOS ANGELES – A suspected drunken driver plowed into a group of
bicyclists on a midnight ride Thursday in Los Angeles, injuring 11,
one critically, police said.
The riders were in a group of about 100 cyclists that were struck by a
white Honda Civic shortly before 2 a.m. about 8 miles south of
downtown.
The crash injured 11 riders, including one person who was hospitalized
in critical condition but is expected to survive, said Officer
Jacquelyn Abad.
Some bicyclists told KTTV Fox 11 that the woman driving the car
appeared to be using a cell phone before the crash. They said she
slowed down, then sped up and slammed into the group, sending some
riders flying into the air and dragging at least one under her car.
Television reports showed the car's smashed front end and shattered
windshield.
The 27-year-old woman was booked for investigation of drunken driving.
Her name was not immediately released.
The bikers belonged to "Midnight Ridazz," a Koreatown bicycling group
that gets together for weekly midnight rides.

Ah, but if he aims to *win* the Tour when all the favourites are
inevitably kicked off one by one, he needs to go that little bit
further...
