At times I miss Edwards but maybe Rex thought he was a locker room
issue & Burress at one year was a risk worth taking.

I thought not keeping Ellis was a mistake. I never thought the Pats
would pay him that much so I agree with you on $. I think Rex or
someone saw him dropping off.

Smith is more emotion. He was good on both sides of the ball on ST
and on offense with his limited role he often made things happen.

Harlan, everyone needs a safety so I don't have a problem with
standing pat there.

On the OL someone thought Hunter could start. I know Papa & MZ saw
some bad things last game on pass protection but I saw a lot of good
run blocking maybe he is good enough.

Maybe Papa but for a great athlete who didn't fumble he never
progressed as being steady catching the ball. I always found it odd.

His first year was idiotic. That was Mangini trying to do a BB &
basically have no 3rd string QB by having Smith fill that role so he
learned neither position year one.

well they drafted 2 guys this year for the DL so they tried. On
offense we will find out what Hunter has.

Smith can flat run. He also doesn't fumble but Westhoff is a big
help.

Has he talked about it? He is only 63 & he strikes me as teh kind of
guy that views retirement as the biggest cause of death in America.

He could have a Kevin Faulk type career if he keeps working.

A very late 2nd

Michael, I will be disappointed but he was a late 2nd rounder. Half
the 1st rounders are busts in most drafts. This draft seems like the
talent pool was thin:

I didn't want tp pay him for sentiment I just wanted the depth. It

He showed some shiftiness on the catch that wasn't a TD. He may be
suffering from the QB locking in on a receiver or you may be right.

by the way... Sean Ellis hasn't done jack-shit for the Patriots.
(Neither has haynesworth or Ochocinco for that matter, and so many
people here were panicky when they were all signed.) "Pats making
moves... oh no... Jets not... oh no...."

Come on guys....its Dude.

Besides, if you remember from his old post, he left the Bills fan-club
and officially became a Jets fan a year or two ago. He's yours now...
We changed the lock on the door at the Bills newsgroup and wont left him

everyone leave the dude alone. After all, he is a poor Bills fan.
That's punishment enough. Hey... at least we've found one Bills fan
who can spell and read a little.

Deadmeat your inner web stalkage of me has become very disturbing. I
mean what's your fucking deal man???

Getting no love from the rotting corpse that used to be your
Mother????

Luckily, I have earned a Psychology degree from the inner web. Here is
my evaluation:

You were sexually assaulted as a young child. You were forced to
perform oral sex on your Father. You are also a closeted gay. You have
relationship issues and you urinate at inopportune times

You know what you look like to me, with your dumb posts and your cheap
shots? You look like a rube. A well scrubbed, hustling rube with a
little taste. Good nutrition's given you some length of bone, but
you're not more than one generation from poor white trash, are you
Deadmeat??

And that ignorance you've tried so desperately to shed: pure fucktard

What is your father, Deadmeat? Is he a coal miner? Does he stink of
the lamp? You know how quickly the boys found you... all those tedious
sticky fumblings in the back seats of cars... while you could only
dream of getting out... getting anywhere... getting all the way to
post shit about me in the Jets newsgroup.

mr dude

You guys think that Thomas Jones is better than LT? I miss Washington
but they offered the guy $10MM guaranteed before he hurt his leg.

I think that is Rex. If you don't want to be here & complain he lets
you go or trades you. Look at Rhodes & Cotchery.

Do you think LT fit the ground and pound scenario? Do you think he has much
left? Do you think Greene is the answer? You have to look at the entire
picture, not just pieces of it at a time. They had the most successful
running game in football, they CHOSE to dismantle it and did not replace the
entire package with a better one, that's it. The whole thing is what plays
the game, not just one piece at a time.

I think top to bottom LT & Greene are better than Washington & Jones.
Jones & Washington both would have struggled last year with the loss
of Faneca. I can't remember how many times he pulled & popped a
defender so they could break free outside. LT is a better pass blocker
& receiver than Jones. Washington had 100 yards last year and he never
saw the blitz coming in his entire career. For the record I wanted to
to keep him as McKnight is still a big ? You know he wil break out
his 4th year when he is eligible for FA.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
You can not compare a player who moves to another system...not the same
blockers, not the same system...most players take a step back and neither of
them are in top systems compared to where they had been. So...if LT and
Greene are so good why is production so poor. I don't see what you see in
Greene at all and I do not see him as even close to the caliber of TJ over
his career. Washington got hurt....we don't know what he would have been if
he had stayed a Jet...my point is to replace him with equal or better...do
you think LT plays beyond this year? They have problems with talent
evaluation...OMHO.

Jackson not only runs the ball but has 29 catches already. We can't
afford for him to pop any long runs off pass or run. I wish Devito
was playing and that is something I never thought I would write.

I think you will see us try & exploit the left side of their OL as
both guard & tackle are hurt. Fitzpatrick is already dinged up.

Their TE has 6 TD's this year.

I think if you score more points, you might be able to win.

I think none of that matters.

I agree with Mike & Mike.

The Bills will score because they are a good team with a great runner
and have a smart guy at Qb. Not a lot but maybe 17 - 24 points depending
on Jet turnovers.

The question is can Sanchez/Shott/the Jets OL score more points?

Whether you blame Sanchez, Shott or the OL for the bad uns, they gots to
score to win this one.

I forget the number but a reasonable number given the snaps.

The challenge is not number of tackles; it is whether a team can negate
him by running past him or killing us with screens to his side or can he
avoid big runs or screens?
