Have a Mailing List of Your Own

Buzz It
No matter what type of email you send out, you'll need a mailing list. The basic way to build a mailing list is by capturing name and email address information for everyone who buys or shows interest in your product.

An email list that YOU COLLECT YOURSELF is worth its weight in gold. This can be accomplished by using a list manager on your site. List managers also provide the HTML coding for the form on the Gateway pages. A list manager collects the email addresses that are gathered with the form. Thus, your email list is collected. This might take some time so there are methods to use until you get your own email list built.

One way to build a mailing list is to do ad swaps with other list owners. The way this works is, you (as company A) have an email list that you send newsletters to and another list owner (company B) has a list they send newsletters to. Company A and Company B place ads on one another's mailing lists. Each of you is promoting the other's list.

You can rent or buy targeted email lists. The list you develop using your own customers' names is called your "house list." Of course, when you're first starting out, your house list is likely to be skimpy. To augment it, one way to go is rent or buy a mailing list. There are two ways to buy or rent a mailing list—approaching the company you want to rent from directly or using a list broker. Any company that emails information to its customers usually has a list manager, who handles inquiries and orders for the mailing list.

Another way to build an email list is to list your newsletter in all of the ezine directories.

Affiliate Marketing Tips

Buzz It
No matter what you may have heard about affiliate
marketing, it's impossible for everyone to make
5,000 - 10,000 dollars a month, as there is simply
too much competition. There is also no money that
will fall into your hands without you doing anything
for it.

With that in mind, you'll find some high level tips
below that will help you make money with affiliate
marketing programs on the internet.

1. Google and Overture
Even though the days of free traffic aren't completely
over, they are surely fading away quickly. You can
choose to work hard creating web pages that score
well in the search engines, although it's very hard
to do.

By paying for clicks with Google and Overture, you'll
have the top three positions on the search engines
that matter the most. If you hope to generate web
traffic from Yahoo, all you need to do is be at the
top of Google.

2. Your own email list
Sending offers to your very own email list is the
ideal way to build freedom and residual income.
Instead of sending traffic away then hoping for
the best, you should instead have your own email
list to which you are able to send multiple offers.

3. Your own affiliate program
If you knew that each filled out form on your site
generated .50 cent in revenue, would you still be
willing to pay someone else .25 cents to generate
that same traffic?

The most overlooked ways of generating traffic is
having others generate it for you. There are many
advantages to this method, including the fact that
others will be getting your traffic for you.

When it all comes down to it, everything involves
paying for traffic in one way or another. To
make more income, you'll need to invest very
wisely in advertising.

Migrating Bihar, Jharkhand workers to get ID cards
http://igovernment.in/site/migrating-bihar-jharkhand-workers-get-id-cards?utm_source=newsletter-core&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=20120102

It will have information like the address of the migrating worker,
their area of expertise and the agency which takes them out
Submitted on 12/29/2011 -

Patna/Ranchi: The state governments of Bihar and Jharkhand have
decided to issue smart identity cards to labourers who migrate to
places like Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana.

The Bihar government has initiated move to provide smart cards to
migrant labourers of the state to give them an identity and ensure
that they don't face any trouble at workplace, a senior Labour
Resources Department official said.

The ID card will have all relevant information like the address of the
migrating worker and the agency which takes them out. There would be
emergency phone numbers of the Deputy Commissioner of the relevant
district for emergency purpose, a Jharkhand Labour Department official
said. The scheme would come into effect from early next year, the
official added.

"The Labour Resource Department is working on a scheme under which
migrant labourers will get smart cards within two-three months," Bihar
Labour Commissioner Dhirendra Mohan Jha said.

Jha said the cards would help the migrant labourers prove their
identity as labourers from Bihar to other states. "The cards would
also specify their area of work. This will help bag jobs," the Labour
Commissioner said.

The government has also decided to provide a one-time financial
assistance of Rs 15,000 to each worker of unorganized sector after a
year's completion of their registration. In addition, Rs 10,000 would
be given for construction of houses and Rs 2500 to buy tools and
bicycles.

Court rejects discrimination claims by lover over body of HIV victim
http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/court-rejects-discrimination-claims-by-lover-over-body-of-hiv-victim-20120101-1ph90.html

Geesche Jacobsen
January 2, 2012

THE gay lover and a friend of a man who died with HIV have lost their
claim that they were discriminated against because of the way his
autopsy was carried out.

In NSW, bodies of people known to have carried the virus when they
died will not be reconstructed after the autopsy under the morgue's
occupational health and safety rules.

But the partner and a friend of the man, who was known only as Mr B,
said they were therefore forced to tell some of his family, who did
not know, of his illness.

They argued they were being discriminated against because the forensic
pathologists at the Glebe morgue had not provided a service to them -
namely reconstructing Mr B's body - which they would have provided had
he not suffered the disability of HIV.

The case, decided just before Christmas in the Court of Appeal,
overturned an earlier finding which had ruled as associates of a dead
person the partner and friend - known only as Mr QZ and Ms QY - were
capable of suffering discrimination.

Anti-discrimination laws protect people who suffer discrimination
because of a relative or associate with a disability or who are
associates of people with a protected sexual orientation.

But the Court of Appeal ruled that the two were not ''relatives or
associates'' of Mr B, and that he was not a ''person'' at the time of
the alleged discrimination because he had died.

''A person is only an associate so long as the relationship
continues,'' Acting Justice Young ruled.

''It may be that there is a certain illogicality in confining [the
law] to association with living persons. However, the pattern of
growth of the [Anti-Discrimination] act is that the legislature by
degrees amends the act to deal with more and more situations and, as
at 2007, it had only progressed this far.''

The court also examined if HIV/AIDS met the definition of disability
and if the morgue could be said to have provided a ''service'' to Mr
B's friends. It also ruled that a doctor performing an autopsy was not
liable for the consequences.

Mr B died in November 2007, apparently by suicide.

Because it was ruled a suspicious death, the coroner ordered an
autopsy.

Because of the state of his body when it was released to the private
undertaker, the undertaker was not able to partly reconstruct it.

The court heard that in such circumstances family members were
informed and asked to view the body before autopsy.

The claim by QZ and QY was dismissed and they were ordered to pay the
costs of the health service representing the morgue.
