BSF brutality in youtube

http://www.youtube.com/all_comments?v=CPDXmhZHP_8

Banglar Manabadhikar Suraksha Mancha (MASUM) is perturbed with the recent incident of heinous torture upon a Bangladeshi national by Border Security Force (BSF) personnel at Char Mourashi Border Out Post Camp under Raninagar Police Station of Murshidabad in West Bengal. The shivering incident draws the attention of bigger civil society and subsequently condemned. The media took a proactive role and made concerned reports and analysis both in print and visual versions.

To give the incident more visibility we put the visual at social site (you tube) with an intention to draw protests and condemnation from every corner of democratic society. The visual has been viewed by about 25000 people within a day. Many comments have been made which are obscene in nature. We are sorry about the comments made by handful viewers on that particular site. MASUM has no connection with those comments and opinions rather in contrast have contradictory approach. We strongly opine that the Indian democracy is much more vibrant and functional than its neighboring countries and that provide us space to criticize the ongoing atrocities perpetrated by its active machineries. In our posting we criticized the act of BSF by saying 'the act made disrepute for our democracy'. We firmly believe that ongoing atrocities upon the marginalized by the BSF are not the single reality of Indian democracy and BSF does not represent the Indian society and polity as a whole.

Through recent media reports we came to know that the Indian government with its Home Ministry already started the witch hunting exercises and blaming communal and subversive propositions of neighboring countries. We strongly condemn this ridiculous act of government and asking them to come up with more positive approach to minimize the ongoing torture by the BSF personnel along the Indo- Bangladesh border. We also apprehend that the recent remark made by the government regarding the issue is an attempt to distract the opinion formed against BSF's illegal and inhumane torture. Government is trying to label the human rights voices with a bad name and ease their way to throttle the same.

We have been reported that the Government of India through its Bangladeshi counterpart trying to influence the statement of victim by pressurizing and terrorizing tactics. We demand safety, security, dignity and complete rehabilitation of the victim by Government of Bangladesh.

We have received a video footage; clearly showing inhumane and brutal torture by Border Security Force personnel of 105 Battalion upon an apparently poor and marginalized person. We have also came to know that the incident took place on 14.01.2012 (Saturday) at Char Mourushi BOP (Border Out Post) Camp under Raninagar Police Station of Murshidabad district of West Bengal.

As reports came the person allegedly beaten by the on duty BSF personnel at the said place of occurrence on the pretext of illegal entry to Indian side of the border from neighboring Bangladesh. It has been also reported that the BSF personnel not booked the person with appropriate legality or not provided any medical assistance rather left him to die. We got one information that victim's name was Mr. Habu Sheikh son of Mr. Saidul Islam of village Atrosia, Post Office Adina College, Police Station – Shibganj, District Chapai Nababganj. The details are not confirmed yet.

The ongoing assaults on the Indian and Bangladeshi nationals by the BSF personnel took horrible proportion. The BSF higher ups tried to shield their force on the pretext of anti- smuggling activities. But it is now clear that the BSF personnel are taking all illegal and extra constitutional means of torture and intimidation according to their whims. The BSF can not perform a role of judiciary rather the judiciary has been restricted not to use physical coercion in this country. In the picture it is evident when the victim lamenting for his life the persons in uniform laughing like beasts and verbally abusing him with sexual connotation.

We came to know that the BSF authority suspended 8 jawans as mentioned below for this heinous act.

1.   Sandip Kumar

2.   Dhananjay Roy

3.   Sunil Kr. Yadav

4.   Suresh Chandra,

5.   Anand Kr.

6.   Victor

7.   Amarjyoti

8.   Virendra Kr Tiwari

But we failed to understand why a specific criminal case has not been initiated and those were not arrested yet. It is clear that the BSF authority not showing any respect to the country's legal procedure. We are apprehending the authority is trying to hush up the incident and shielding the perpetrators. Again the authority has not taken any appropriate measure against the in-charge of that BOP Camp, Company Commander or battalion Commandant.

Our organization have made concerned opinion on the ongoing torture by BSF personnel at Indo- Bangladesh border and tried to convince other duty bearers to take immediate actions on their part to minimize this malice of epidemic proportion. This incident is not an isolated one but a part of ongoing torturous practices by the BSF which has been visually recorded with a chance. It again proves our stand that the malice is not only related to individual BSF personnel rather it is directly related to extended impunity for persons in uniform by the criminal jurisprudence of our country.  It is a high time for concerned institutions to take corrective measures to check unbridled atrocities by the Border Security Force personnel at the Indo- Bangladesh bordering areas.

MASUM welcomed the statement made by DG of BSF regarding "zero tolerance" and "not use of lethal weapons" along the India – Bangladesh border. But we are sorry to withdraw our gesture because the very intention of BSF is clear by these kind of atrocious acts on their part and ultimate impunity which they are enjoying.

The video confirmed:-

·        The person was not fleeing at the time of occurrence

·        The person was in BSF custody

·        The BSF personnel stripped him naked

·        The BSF personnel were reveling like tyrants

·        The BSF personnel tied his twisted hands with a stick

·        The person was pleading for his release

·        The BSF personnel made physical torture without any fear or timorous

·        The personnel knowingly beaten at toes of the person

·        Horrifying act of torture by BSF personnel made disrepute for Indian democracy

Toxicity of polyacrylamide and acrylamide monomer.

Source

Department of Civil Engineering, University of Massachusetts, Amherst 01003.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present information gathered regarding, in general, the physical characteristics, and, in particular, the possible toxic nature of polyacrylamide A short discussion of the properties and toxicity of the acrylamide monomer is also included. The United States government, specifically the Food and Drug Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency, already regulates several uses of polyacrylamide; criteria and standards have been established based on numerous toxicological studies of both polyacrylamide and acrylamide. These studies are reviewed and summarized. The regulations generally restrict both the amount of residual acrylamide monomer in the polyacrylamide and the amount of polymer that may be used in the specified application. By imposing this type of restriction, a maximum limit on the amount of acrylamide in contact with food or drinking water can be indirectly achieved.

Against SOPA & PIPA

As you might have noticed several of your favorite websites like Google, Wikipedia and Reddit, protested against SOPA and PIPA yesterday. According to @Twirus SOPA was mentioned 488,000 times yesterday, 7 times more than Justin Bieber and it was trending in almost all countries. With good reason as these bills could have devastating effects on the internet as we know it today. Sites like Twitter, Facebook and lots of other sites that we use and love could get censored and even shut down very easily.

We love the web and its openness and don't think censorship is the way to fight piracy. If you agree here's our friends from The Next Web explaining what you can do about it.

John, FPP Video 2 + Kevin Eaton Hacks FPP (HUGE BONUS!)

Buzz It

Hey, John

We've got some BIG news for you today.

First of all, you obviously remember the system that we introduced you
to the other day…it's the one based on vibratory harmonics that the
NASA scientist helped develop.

Well, their second video is out right now…

AND

…Derek will take you behind the scenes to his trade station account and
show you how he turned $5k into $30k in 4 months!

He's currently on a 680% streak!

Here's the link:

http://www.forex-megadroid.com/fpp2.html

Now, here's the second…BIGGER…piece of news.

Many of you might know a guy by the name of Kevin Eaton. He's the
go-to guru of MT4!

In fact, when Derek started working on Forex Profit Predictor, he
approached Kevin…you'll hear all about it in the video.

Anyway, Kevin has a very small list of inner circle collaborators and he's
developed an AMAZING piece of software to take Forex Profit Predictor
to a whole new level.

You can see it here:

http://www.forex-megadroid.com/kefpp.html

Normally, this would ONLY be for Kevin and his little group.

BUT…

...the thing is, we were so jealous when we saw what he came up with,
we absolutely HAD to have it for our subscribers too!

Let's just say that after a metaphorical crate of fancy cigars and cognac,
we managed to get a deal made where Megadroid subscribers are going
to be the only other traders to get their hands on this!

http://www.forex-megadroid.com/kefpp.html

Forex Profit Predictor is NOT an automatic system. It is however, an
exceptionally accurate and profitable one.

That's why putting Kevin's creation together with Derek's is a match
made in trading heaven!

Watch the video and you'll understand!

http://www.forex-megadroid.com/kefpp.html

Watch out for our emails, we'll have more from Kevin and from Derek
very soon!

Good Trading

The MD Team

P.S. Don't forget to check out the second Forex Profit Predictor Video
and the video of Derek's live account!

http://www.forex-megadroid.com/fpp2.html

P.P.S. Make sure you watch Kevin's video. This is a Megadroid
exclusive bonus when you purchase Forex Profit Predictor via our link
on the 23rd of January!

Powder Characterization For Modern Manufacturing
By Tim Freeman, Freeman Technology
In this series, I've been looking at traditional powder testing techniques, such as tapped density methods and shear analysis, to see how they fit with today's powder processing needs. Greater efficiency is the goal now dominating pretty much every area of production, so I really do feel it's appropriate to question whether we have the right powder characterization tools for modern applications.
