I want to know which one is the most reliable, and which brands have the most system failures.
I don’t care about much other than the system not to crash or screw up.
I don’t care how big/bulky or small it is
Or how fast it is
Or how it looks
I just want a simple laptop mainly for just transporting word documents and internet browsing to look at documented pages.
Is Dell a good brand for laptops?
I’m looking for an inexpensive one like around $ 400-500
maybe 700 or 800 later
I know walmart and best buy sell them.
how reliable are they?
I don’t care how fast or what ever they are.
I just don’t want one that will freeze a lot or stop working in general.

Try pcworld.com, cnet.com, just look around.
try cnet.com, they have a huge computer review database, and if your on a tight budget with no performance necessity, i would try this:

or this: http://usanotebooks.com/moreinfo.php?id=1317
since IBM Thinkpads are very reliable, they can take a drop and still work
in my opinion, Used IBM Thinkpad laptops are the best in reliability and support, as most every computer repair business can repair them
